What we know (very little).
Last updated: 21 August 2026
This policy explains what data TryPersonality collects, why, on what legal basis, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: reading the site collects nothing personal, and everything else is opt-in and deletable by you, immediately, without asking us.
The data controller is Neutron LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. For anything in this policy, contact info@neutronllc.org.
What we collect, and when
Browsing: nothing personal. Type and compatibility pages are pre-rendered static files; reading them needs no account and sets no tracking cookies. Compatibility scores are computed on your device from the two types you pick — the choice is not sent anywhere unless you save it.
Saving a comparison: a guest account identifier (a random UUID) is created for you, plus each comparison you save — the framework, the two types, the label you type, and the score at the time you saved. No email is required.
Registering: your email address and password are handled by our authentication provider. We never see or store your password. We additionally store an optional display name and, if you request a share link, a random referral token.
Referral links: when someone opens your share link we record that a visit happened against that token — deliberately with no IP address, user agent, or device fingerprint. If that visitor later saves or registers, the one resulting account is linked to the visit so the referral can be credited once.
Cookies
We use first-party, HTTP-only cookies only, and only where they are strictly necessary: a session cookie that keeps you signed in (set when you first save or sign in), a short-lived referral cookie (7 days) set when you arrive via a share link and used once to credit whoever invited you, and a sign-in cookie that lives for ten minutes so that guest saves can follow you into an account. There are no advertising, profiling, or third-party tracking cookies, so there is no consent banner to dismiss.
Who processes your data
Supabase provides our database and authentication, and holds your account, saved comparisons, and email address. It also sends account email (verification and password reset) through an email delivery provider configured on our account.
Cloudflare hosts and serves the site and, when bot protection is enabled, runs a challenge on the registration form. It processes technical request data as part of delivering the site.
Analytics is cookie-free and aggregate only — page counts, never individual profiles, and never joined to your account. Where a processor handles data outside your region, transfers rely on that provider’s standard contractual clauses.
Why we may lawfully do this
Running your account and storing the comparisons you chose to save: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Security, abuse prevention, and aggregate cookie-free analytics: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)). Anything beyond that — nothing today — would require your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
What we never do
We do not sell or rent personal data, share it with advertisers or data brokers, build advertising profiles, log IP addresses against referral visits, or use your data to train models. The types you select are not treated as health data, are never used to make automated decisions about you, and are never shown to other users unless you deliberately share a link. The label you give a saved comparison is private to your account and never appears on a share card.
Delete your account and data
You can delete everything yourself, at any time, without contacting us. Sign in and go to Settings → Delete account.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. It removes your account, your email address, your display name, your referral token, and every comparison you saved. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore a deleted account. Referral visit records survive as anonymous counts with the link to you removed, so they no longer refer to any person.
If you cannot sign in — for example you have lost access to your email — write to info@neutronllc.org from the address on the account and we will delete it for you. We will confirm when it is done.
You can also export everything we hold about you first, as a JSON file, from the same Settings page.
Your other rights
Beyond export and deletion, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to complain to your data protection authority. Requests not already covered by Settings: email info@neutronllc.org and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm you control the account’s email address before acting — which is also why we will not act on a request made by phone.
How long we keep things
Guest accounts that never saved anything are deleted automatically after 30 days. Accounts with saves — guest or registered — are kept until you delete them. Account deletion takes effect immediately. The short-lived sign-in and referral cookies expire on their own, and the tokens behind them are single-use.
Children
TryPersonality is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13 (or the minimum age in your country, if higher). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, email info@neutronllc.org and we will delete it.
Changes & contact
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, for registered users, say so in the product. Questions and rights requests: info@neutronllc.org, or by post to Neutron LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. See also our contact page.
